Bing
Freshman Year Consumer Behavior Course Project
The Ask: Create a marketing campaign aimed at increasing millennial usage of Microsoft's Bing search engine.
Our Ideas:
-
Turn Bing's #DoGreatThings commitment into a challenge for young adults to make our planet a better place. For every video posted to social media with the hashtag "DoGreatThings" that explains what good things they have done, Microsoft will donate to a chosen foundation.
-
Encourage colleges and universities around the World to “Bing It On” by competing with one another using the Microsoft Rewards tracker. Students have to search using Bing while logged onto their school email. The schools with the most searches will receive a Microsoft Lab with 30 tablets.
Goal:
-
Encourage millennials to use the #DoGreatThings and #BingItOn slogan across various social media sites to spread awareness amongst potential users.
-
To help Microsoft live up to their mission and corporate social responsibility.
Professional Feedback: Our group placed first out of 10 groups in two classes.
"Not only did your team understand the project, you all executed your presentation flawlessly... often times the delivery of projects gets missed/misunderstood and therefore not sold through to the customer – yours was not one of those." -Microsoft Search Advertising Account Executive
