Behavioral Health Link

Communications Consultant/Coordinator

The Task: After having BH Link as a client in my Integrated Marketing Communications Seminar, I was offered a part-time remote summer internship that ended up being extended indefinitely. This role only ended once I was well into my agency career and unfortunately, did not have time to maintain the level of work that was needed to keep the accounts running. After notifying the team of my departure, I helped develop social content guides and helped with training to allow for a smooth transition.

Deliverables: â€‹

  • Develop and maintain an Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter presence within the Rhode Island community.

  • Cumulate a "Social Audience Guide" which includes local contacts for groups such as town police, fire, EMT, colleges and universities, local events, top 100 companies in Rhode Island, etc.

  • Organize Constant Contact account and contacts to prepare for regularly scheduled email newsletters.

  • Created a LinkedIn page for professional/recruitment purposes.

  • Used Hootsuite to schedule posts and to organize the posting schedule.

  • Used Canva to create images to be used on BH Link's social media.

  • Design assets and post templates to be used across the RI Department of Health and Horizon Healthcare Partners social media for campaigns such as: BIPOC Mental Health Month, National Recovery Month, Mental Health Month, Substance Use Disorder awareness, and PAUSE Rhode Island COVID-19 support campaigns.

Feedback: "Bianca from team 6, excellent presentation. Great job reading the room and feeding off of the audience during your presentation" - Partner and Creative Director, Duffy & Shanley

Current Campaign: Duffy & Shanley RI was currently running a campaign with three main brand pillars: there is information, there is compassion, there is help. Advertising did not feature faces to highlight the anonymity that BH Link provides and to avoid stigmas associated with mental health and drug use.

Photos below are captioned with strategic explanations.

Window Decals

BH Link uses parentheses to symbolize hugs and compassion. By partnering with local restaurants, the green parentheses could become more well known around Rhode Island. By placing them around where someone would be seated, the parenthesis act as a reminder that we are one large community.
